Ivan Leo Pouti [Sept 05]: Wine is meant to work on NetBSD, however chances are the build has broken over time due to lack of testing. I suggest you try building it and see what happens.
D. Laight: There has been a working version in pkgsrc, but I suspect it is old.
F. Gouget: Just for reference, I believe the NetBSD project also announced some time ago that they had managed to run Wine in Linux emulation mode. However I'm not sure how well supported that was and if the current Wine still works in Linux emulation mode. Wine Archive
[If a volunteer could regularly attempt to build from cvs (overnight?) and report to the developer list... ;-)]
Volunteer [Dec 08]: On a fresh install of NetBSD/i386 4.0.1 and a current pkgsrc tree (dated 12/13/08) Wine 1.0.1 builds and runs without Linux emulation. Main issue I have is the CPU load remains at 100% for the duration Wine is running, which I am investigating.
