Random Notes
July 2005:
- I had "Double BUffering" and "Mouse cursor lock" off in winecfg, though the mouse still was never able to leave the game window.
- This system has an NVidia Gforce4 card, so having OpenGL acceleration was nice. In Deus Ex setup, choose "software rendering". I tried to install DirectX 7 that came with Deus Ex, but it didn't work so well.
- Unlike the Deus Ex entry listed on Frank's WINE App page, this version was not a "cracked version", so his page's requirement for using a "cracked version" is now dated.
- The "standard resolution" that Deus Ex defaults to is 640x480. I bumped it to 1024x768 with 32-bit colors.
